Day 4: Favorite G2 character

For me, it’s my favorite G2 characters. I loved Freddie and Effy, not even because they were the most adorable couple ever, but I loved them both as individuals.

Freddie was one of my big crushes on the show, along with Sid. Freddie was the only one that was really just… chill, on the show. He knew what he wanted. His life was fucked up since his mom passed and it was like his dad played favorites with his sister, so he was “forgotten”. He loved Effy from the start and unlike all of the other characters, he stuck to that (besides when he dated Katie, which we all know was to try and get over Effy) I can relate to Freddie. I cried like a baby when he was murdered and all the episodes I saw with him I just wish I knew someone like him in real life

Effy was also another favorite. I related to her the most I think. Her family is dysfunctional, to put it kindly. And so is mine. She goes through depression, which is something I understand because I’ve been through it as well. She turns to drugs and alcohol for happiness, and the only “real” thing she has is Freddie, and even that doesn’t make her happy. She just goes crazy. And I like it. I think it shows that sometimes love really isn’t enough, sometimes it’s a problem within.
